The challenge
Behind every consult is a web of clinical documentation, patient communication, provider coordination, referrals, results and billing — all of it security-sensitive, all of it expected to just work. Capstone System set out to give practices a single platform for the whole operation: clinical, patient and provider workflows in one place, connected to Australia’s health services, and available on any platform, anytime, anywhere.
What we built
Comprehensive clinical tooling — consult workflows, clinic-specific letter, consult and SMS templates, and dashboards that put the whole clinic at a glance: the day, the patients, the finances.
A comprehensive patient system spanning the whole journey — integrated email and SMS, complete patient file management, and Google-style search across patients, files, scans, documents and photos.
Comprehensive provider management — appointment and roster views for every team member, powerful reporting, HR scheduling, checklists and detailed activity logs for full control of the practice.
Connected care
The platform integrates with Australian Health Services APIs — eScripts, Health Identifiers, pathology, radiology and referrals — across multiple secure messaging platforms. Results and referrals flow in and out of the practice electronically, with billing simplified through Medicare and Eclipse integration.
Mobile applications and patient portals make for a seamless experience — for the practice and for patients. All data is continuously monitored and protected by Microsoft’s data security technology, encrypted both in-flight and at rest, 24/7.
The outcome
How we got there
Mapped the full practice workflow — clinical, patient and provider — plus the integration surface across Australian health services and secure messaging platforms.
